Luckily, I never had to truly face the challenges of college alone. From the day I received my acceptance letter to Arkansas, I knew my best friend, my twin sister, would be my future roommate for the next four years. I knew if I was homesick, sad, or overwhelmed, she would be there to pick me up, but never imagined she wouldn’t be the only one to do so. Little did I know, my biological sister would soon become my sorority sister, doubling the experience, and the bond we would both receive from Zeta over the next four years.
Ashlyn and I were not in the same Gamma Chi group. We made our own friends throughout recruitment, but still always had each other to turn to when the days were long. On bid day, I made sure to find her at the Greek Theater, and the moment we became Zeta sisters will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Over the past three years, we both have grown so much together on campus, through Zeta, and with the help of every single girl from the Epsilon chapter. I feel blessed to always know that I have her by my side through the good and the bad, and feel the exact same way about my sorority sisters. Epsilon has always provided me a home in Fayetteville, and the girls will forever be my family. The sisters I have gained are every bit as special to me as Ashlyn is, but our bond was made even more special becoming sisters x2.
Thank you, Zeta, for taking a chance on a set of twins like Ashlyn and I. Most importantly, thank you for the 300+ sisters I have gained; I owe every memory, experience, and loving friendship to you.
